From the Heart of our Founder
From as early as I can remember, animals have been an essential part of my life. Growing up, my parents always ensured that animals were part of our family, and that early exposure fostered a deep love and respect for all living creatures. That love followed me throughout my entire life and continues to shape who I am today.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to care for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, ferrets, hamsters, mice, and even a praying mantis. Each one taught me the value of compassion, patience, and responsibility. I also had the opportunity to help care for baby raccoons, and understanding the importance of proper wildlife care, I worked to ensure they were safely placed with a licensed wildlife rehabilitation facility where they could receive the specialized care they needed to thrive.
In 2020, I rescued my beloved yellow Labrador, Daisy Mae. After searching extensively through shelters and rescues without success, I turned to a rehoming group. Due to unfortunate circumstances, a family could no longer keep her, and we welcomed Daisy Mae into our home, where she has been deeply loved ever since. She remains an important part of our life alongside her two brothers, Poncho Villa and Chico, who complete our pack.
I am also incredibly blessed to have a beautiful family who shares my love for animals. My children have grown up surrounded by animals and are all pet owners themselves. Watching them develop the same compassion and respect for animals has been both humbling and inspiring, and it reinforces the values that Woof Animal Rescue Inc. stands for.
My lifelong passion for animals and my desire to help those in need ultimately led to the creation of Woof Animal Rescue Inc. This rescue was founded on the belief that every animal deserves safety, dignity, and a second chance—regardless of their past or circumstances. Woof Animal Rescue Inc. is, and will always remain, a 100% volunteer-based organization. Every person involved, including myself, donates their time and services purely out of love for animals.
All donations received go directly toward the care, safety, and well-being of the animals we serve. This rescue was not created for financial gain, but out of a deep passion and commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of animals in need. I am honored to make helping animals one of my life’s purposes.
